Campus Initiatives

See what's happening NOW...

What: Jane Doe  (Program Poster)
When: Thursday, September 21
Where: Duquesne Union Ballroom
Time: 7:30 pm

The sponsoring student groups for this program today believe that they can measurably and systematically reduce and prevent personal violence (including sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, child abuse, elder abuse and bullying) within the campus community. The primary purpose and mission in presenting this program is one small step taken toward the reduction of personal violence, as we recognize the inextricable link between effective prevention and effective intervention.

Following the performance Thursday evening, there will be a reception with facilitated dialogue led by our community partners from PAAR (Pittsburgh Action Against Rape). There will be assistance available if needed from counselors and campus ministry in a designated "safe space" curtained off in the rear of the ballroom. The program should be significant and powerful food for thought for those in attendance.
